That entire area around Plaza de Mayo is full of great tourist attractions, food stalls, and, of course, protests. We saw the march of the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo one day, and then a huge car rally the next.

Those kind of civil activities are exciting to see (and occasionally dangerous to get caught up in!). I will never forget when 5,000+ of my closest Turkish friends packed into the memorial courtyard outside Ataturk’s tomb. Amazing times.
