Dhal is the staple in India and we in the west adore it as it can be the basis of any meal and if prepared ahead is equally good. I have been fed dhal by my wonderful partner for well over 20 years and would be saddened if I did not continue with this wonderful food staple.

Yes, I agree this is very entertaining and could be a fascinating and very amusing movie. raveling India is an absolute life changing experience and one often not realized until you have left the shores of this wonderfully complex and spiritually enhanced country.

David, David, David…obviously being married to a doctor shouldn’t presume the sense to follow another doctor’s “suggestion”. On the other hand, jumping in with both feet and all tastebuds is your style. Which makes for good writing. We’re all glad to be along for the ride!

You paint a beautiful picture as always. Your symbolism and metaphors are always a smile. Remember to use the word “mild” when you are ordering food overthere. Of course some of them might be in competition with you and your chili receipe.

“Use dippers” means use low power beam on your headlights. It’s called “dipping your lights” because the low beam points down more than the high beam does. Of course, by the time you can read the sticker on the truck, it’s a little late.
