A harbourside walk in Bristol, England [video]
June 14, 2010 in England
Bristol, in the west of England, is a great place to visit, with a maritime history and wealth that was founded on the slave trade. Over the last twenty years, the harbourside area has been redeveloped and is now a popular place to walk, eat, drink and relax with museums, bars and cafes, and there are plenty of opportunities for messing around in boats. You can take the ferry around the harbour or make a circular walk with plenty of stops along the way: pop into a free gallery or a coffee shop with a great view over the water.
If you’re traveling on a budget, I’d recommend the YHA Bristol Hostel, housed in an old tea warehouse overlooking the harbour and centrally located for all that Bristol has to offer.
