The Burning Man Festival
The Burning Man festival brings together a temporary community of people from all walks of life in the Nevada Desert, in the United States. A whole town springs up on the “playa”, complete with streets, nomadic camps and art installations. This all climaxes in the burning of a large wooden statue of a man (hence the name). In recent years the Temple has been added, which also goes up in flames before the week is out.
Burning Man 2010
At time of writing, Burning Man tickets are still available for 2010. When they expire, watch Craigslist and Twitter for people selling unwanted tickets.
