We have a Italy podcast planned, and we’d love to know… what you want to know!

Do you have questions about the best places to visit?
The best way to get around?
    The scammers in Venice?
Where to find the best pizza?

Let us know your Italy questions — and your Italy advice — and we’ll get it into an upcoming show :)

Touch on the nuts ‘n bolts — how to get around, cost and safety — and I enjoy hearing about history and cuisine. Maybe interview a local chef? Something of that nature.

    Eh, have fun with it.

Is Venice overhyped and too touristy these days?

Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan, all worthy of examination but avoid Turin, very industrial, however south of Turin is Alba, Bra and many other stand out villages, all in the Piemonte region and are superb for hiking into the real rural Italian countryside, it’s also the premier wine region. Barolo, Barbara and Nebolo … delicious! Great Italian ice cream is also a must try in the area. Food wise Piemonte is the place where ‘Slowfood’ started …….Truffles anyone?

@ukmike – Love me some Barolo :) Thanks for the addition!

@atlassliced – a great question; and one we’ll try and answer.

I’m planning to spend three or more weeks in Italy with my wife before the year ends. I’m trying to map out a basic travel route to take. I might fly out of Madrid and into Italy…..where?…possibly whichever has the cheapest flight. We will probably head up to Germany or Austria after Italy so I may end the trip in Milan.

Should we go to Sicily? How do we do Venice without spending too much? I know the trains are affordable but do you have other transport suggestions? Also, has Cinque Terre fully recovered from the rain and storm damage? Went there last year…gorgeous.

    Thanks….just discovered your podcasts….great job!
