I can only speak from my life experiences....traveling has open my mind to a world of images with endless moments that will be carry in my blood for the rest of my life. theirs nothing like thinking back of the great moments traveling like Buzios in rio de janeiro or Paris, the great tapas in Barcelona bar and the locals. Life seem so right at that moment! Rome!!!

Travel opens our minds to other people and ways of doing things. It's a reminder that there are many opportunities in life. It shows us how different people are, while at the same time reminding us how similar we are.

My love for travel stems from the search for meaning in my own life which encourages me to visit sites which might just have escaped the spectre of globalisation, just looking for the chance to see the past before it disappears. I guess the catch 22 is that globalisation not only increases the speed with with these cultures disappear but also increases the speed & ease with which we can travel to see them. The freedom we are granted as backpackers ultimately entails the freedom to change the very places we travel to see, as our own travel impacts upon the unchanged and authentic cultures we travel to see.

@Poe That's true. The only place is having the discipline to stop for a while when you find somewhere you like! I regret not spending a few months in Sofia ... but I'm sure we'll be back one day.

I want to travel because i dont believe that you can know where you want to be in this world unless you have seen a good portion of it.

:-) I had a look at the Spaceship too - holy smokes that is cool. Didn't realise it was like a whole "lifestyle" on wheels.
