In today’s show, Craig and Linda express the itchiness of their feet and desperate need to hit the road again. At the same time, there’s plenty of work to be done in preparation! This show gives you a good overview of the practical aspects of preparing for long term travel, including:

And now for something completely different

Passports with purpose

Virtuoso Passports with Purpose Passports with Purpose is an awesome travel blog charity fundraiser which was started last year. Travel bloggers work together to find sponsorship and raise funds for a charity, led by these awesome women. This year, our goal is to raise US$13,000 to build a school in Cambodia (through an approved US-based charity). The fundraising lasts until December 21 and the community has already raised over US$10,000!

For each $10 you donate, you can elect to go into the draw for one of many great prizes supplied by travel bloggers and the travel companies they’ve roped into taking part. We were sad we couldn’t afford to contribute anything this year, but look forward to doing so in the future.

Please donate to Passports with Purpose this year (and good luck on the prize draws).

    Hi there
Really nice to put two faces to your names. This really is a great travel site… out of the squillions on the net. I think that’s because you two are travellers!!
Cheers and all best for 2010

I understand the itchy-feet problem, even though I’m “traveling” at the moment. I’ve been in China for four months. Taking the English-teaching job abroad straight out of college, saddled with student-loan debt isn’t really conducive to free-wheeling independent travel. All life is right now is 6 days a week of work, international wire transfers, and language struggles, which sometimes makes me wonder what I’ve gotten myself into… Sometimes I have to stop scratching my feet and realize there’s a lot around me that I haven’t explored to its fullest potential. It’s a pretty big lesson in patience.

But daaammmn the noodles are good!
