Can you believe how costly bottled water is out there? It is a good idea too to stuff your backpack (-- very ideal to go around in one, instead of a shoulder bag or a trolley) with goodies like cookies, bread, cold cuts to go with the bread (you can buy these the previous night, ask if you could store it in your hotel's fridge if you don't have one in your room)energy bars, and the like.
