This review brings Craig and Linda of the indie travel podcast to Vagabonding: An uncommon guide to the art of long-term world travel by Rolf Potts.
That subtitle is one heck of a mouthful, huh? It sums the book up well though.
In short, it wasn’t our type of book. The layout was frustratingly fragmented, with quotes, profiles and tips scattered throughout the pages. Linda moans while Craig points out it’s how motivational books are published these days.
We’d recommend this book to people that are sitting on the fence when it comes to a lifestyle of travel. If you’re sitting at home or at work, dreaming of travelling then this book is for you.

I’m not a big travel reader, I prefer to actually going and have to agree with Linda about the quoting thing, it’s a pet peeve of mine too!
Have you read Peter Moore? He’s an Australian travel writer and writes in a conversational style. His books take on London to Sydney overland (“The wrong way home”), Central America (“The full Montezuma”) Cape Town to Cairo (“Swahili for the Broken hearted”) and Italy (“Vroom with a view” and “Vroom by the sea”). He’s awesome
Pick up a copy if you see one and enjoy.
