011 – Five tips for staying sane during long transits

April 20, 2007 in Travel

This week the Indie Travel Podcast looks into five tips for staying sane during those painfully long transit periods. (Like the 40+ hours we recently had between Dublin, Ireland and Obershultzen, Austria!)

  • Tip one: Leave yourself a reasonable buffer time between connections.
  • Tip two: Know what gate or platform you’re going to arrive at before you actually get there.
  • Tip three: Think about what you’re eating and drinking before and during the trip.
  • Tip four: Don’t plan important work during your travelling time.
  • Tip five: Relax.
