Stretching from the Arctic Ocean almost to the equator, North America is a land of extremes. The great lakes of Canada, the iconic cities of the United States, the Aztec and Mayan cultures of Mexico: there’s plenty to draw your attention even if you only consider the three largest countries on the continent.
Quite where North America ends is a question that’s up for debate, though it certainly includes those three biggies. Plus, all of Central America and most of the Caribbean islands are included when considering it as a continent rather than a region.
