Craig recently did a trip through the region, which we had previously visited in 2008, and we’re already planning our return!
He did a ten-day itinerary which was put together (and paid for) by Jay Way Travel, who are experts in central Europe, the Adriatic coast and — of course — the Baltics.
We have linked podcasts and stories below, and there’s heaps of content already published to Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and more under the #jaywaybaltics hashtag. Go take a look.
This stunning trailer for Lithuania involves balloon rides, castles bubbles, and Craig having his hair singed in fire by mad Lithuanians wearing epaulettes. ‘Nuff said.
In the Baltics we experimented with a new documentary-style show, blending script with sounds and quotes taken on the trip.
Catch the sounds of Tallinn, the colours of bog walking, the shock of eating a beaver, and the relaxation of the seaside spa town, Parnu, in our Estonia podcast.
And if that’s not enough, listen in to two ghost stories in Tallinn that we couldn’t quite fit in.
Night kayak with us along Riga’s canals, “see” the view from St Peter’s Tower, and learn about Rundale Palace in our Latvia podcast.
Experience a hot-air balloon ride, visit the Hill of Crosses, and taste the flavours of Vilnius in our Lithuania podcast.
